Support for Trauma, PTSD, CPTSD & Trans-generational Trauma

The definition of trauma is:
  • Any deeply distressing or disturbing experience
  • Injury that stays trapped and does not resolve and fully heal
  • Emotional shock following a stressful event or Physical injury, which may or may not be associated with physical shock
  • Long-term symptoms of stress, depression, anxieties, phobias or other related symptoms

Trauma can lead to:
  • Difficulty functioning at home or at work
  • Fear, anxiety or depression that is chronic
  • Inability to form close, satisfying relationships
  • Avoidance behaviours and addictions
  • Feeling numb and disconnected

Trauma is subjective
  • What determines whether an event is traumatic is our own subjective internal experience

Some of the experiences that can be traumatic:
  • An acute situation such as an accident, injury, natural disaster or violent attack
  • Ongoing, chronic stress
  • Surgery (especially in the first 3 years of life)
  • the sudden death of someone close, the breakup of a significant relationship, or a humiliating or deeply disappointing experience
Why childhood trauma is particularly important
It is important to note that childhood trauma can have serious and long-lasting effects. If childhood trauma is not resolved, it may carry over into adulthood and become a predisposition to further trauma. Some of the main reasons for trauma in childhood are:
  • Instability and lack of safety
  • Separation from a caretaker
  • Neglect and an insecure attachment to caregivers
  • Serious illness
  • Intrusive medical procedures
  • Verbal, physical or sexual abuse
  • Aggression and violence
  • Excess fears
  • Bullying
With the homeopathic process, it is never too late to resolve and heal a childhood trauma.
I know there is something not quite right!
Homeopathy is a proven method to address traumas and adds a holistic approach by including all aspects of the individual's experience no matter how unusual, irrational or even embarrassing. These can be explored in a non-judgemental, safe, compassionate and collaborative way. The methods used are safe to use with most treatments and medications.

Authenticity
One way for resolution to trauma to occur is to reconnect with our authentic self. We can heal by developing the awareness of how we are living in an authentic way, and to wake up that place within us that represents who we really are. Authenticity is to be true to one's own personality, spirit or character. The moment we observe our true self is a path back to authenticity. The homeopathic session offers a space in which to explore this and a well selected remedy helps us to naturally return to this true part of ourselves, reconnect to ourself and to feel more connected to others.

Trans-generational Trauma
Along with all the current traumas we may have experienced in our lifetime, we can also carry
generational traumas that remain unresolved. Homeopathy is an excellent resource in this type of healing and is an exciting and evolving field within the homeopathic community. It takes an unselfish courage to look deep into the past and to want to heal traumas from our ancestors so that future generations can experience more light and be unburdened by the past. My passion is to use Homeopathy as a tool to explore and unwind what happened in the past in a gentle, compassionate and kind way helping future generations live healthier, happier and more authentic lives.
